Heat is one of the essential components in the production of plasterboard. This is where thermal oil boilers come in. It is the perfect solution to provide the heat needed to produce high-quality plasterboard. In this project, the Tanzanian company selected a 6 million kcal thermal oil boiler to meet its heating needs. The thermal oil boiler heats the medium oil to 320°C, providing a stable and high-quality heat source for gypsum board production.
One of the significant advantages of thermic fluid heater is that they can provide high temperature heating under low pressure conditions. This kind of boiler generally operate at pressures below 10 bar. Due to the excellent heat transfer properties of heat transfer oil, the oil can reach to 400℃ temperature through the closed circulation system. It is safe to operate under the low-pressure environment, reducing the risk of explosion.
The boiler used in this case is YLW-7000MA with the capacity of 6 million kcal thermal oil boiler, also equals to 7MW. Considering the local energy situation in Tanzania, coal was chosen as the fuel.
The solid fuel fired thermal oil boiler is divided into upper and lower parts. The upper part is the boiler furnace, which adopts a square coil structure, and the heat-conducting oil is circulated and heated in the coil system; the lower part is the heating area, which is the supporting base with the grate. According to the characteristics of different coal materials, different numbers of independent air bins can be configured to precisely control the air intake to ensure complete combustion of coal materials. After experiments, the thermal efficiency of our company’s coal-fired thermal oil boiler is as high as 85%.
At the same time, the boiler is equipped with an automatic control system to precisely control a series of parameters such as coal feeding, soot blowing, and oil temperature. Due to the automatic soot blowing system, it can clean the inner tube wall of the furnace on time and according to the amount to avoid the influence of soot accumulation. Automatic soot blowing system also greatly reduces the frequency of boiler downtime and maintenance, and reduces the daily operating costs.
